London is a city with many ghosts.
On the 9 December 2005, the Routemaster bus became another phantom of Oxford Street. After close to fifty years, it was famous the world over, its image and name as synonymous with the capital as Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, pigeons and exorbitant house prices.
Drawn from hundreds of images gathered over the Routemaster’s final eighteen months of service, LAST STOP is not an exercise in protest or nostalgia, but a celebration of the unique and dynamic role the bus played in London life.
